Reunited - Garcia/Lions agree to deal

The Detroit Lions and quarterback Jeff Garcia have agreed in principle to contract terms. No contract has been signed as of yet and no terms have been released. The Lions had also considered Kurt Warner and Brad Johnson, but in the end they went with the quarterback who has a history with head coach Steve Mariucci. ESPN's Len Pasquarelli announced the agreement Saturday afternoon. Garcia becomes the third free agent to sign this week, joining safety Kenoy Kennedy and tight end Marcus Pollard. Garcia had been in contract negotiations with the Broncos and was being pursued by the Seattle Seahawks.
